How do you want you home to feel? Cheerful and vibrant? Calm and luscious? We start with a feeling and build from there. Here a clean, warm, modern feeling was desired. Some color, but softer. Soft Modern.

Whenever we were sourcing, sketching or refining- we’d ask ourselves, is it soft modern? It’s good to have a design mantra.

Philadelphia is entering its Spring glory. I took the scenic drive to work to enjoy the cherry blossoms in Kelly Drive. They remind me a bit of the pretty banquette we did at Malvern Soft Modern. Everything about this project feels like a fresh Spring day 🌺

Family Room Before & After!
The look of a fireplace can make a tremendous impact on a room. We wanted to modernize our Malvern Soft Modern project and immediately looked to the mantel and hearth. We did away with tile and paneling, opting for a textural limewash treatment. Since the fireplace insert is gas, we also eliminated the unnecessary raised hearth, gaining more depth in the room. Layer on some new furnishings and you have yourself a whole new room! 💚

Happy first day of Spring! It’s also my birthday AND the end of Mercury retrograde. I’m hoping for a brighter future, lots of growth and forward motion. Jeremy and I are taking the day off to wander and have a lazy adventure. Off to a late breakfast 🥰🥰
