Grace Street was once an old soda shop, a fixture in this Richmond, VA neighborhood. It’s one of the many Roots Natural Kitchen’s we’ve had the pleasure of designing. We worked to save many of the original details including the exterior mural, the leaded glass windows, and the original tile floor.

The in-between season deserves a space of its own.

Somewhere for garden clippings, sun hats, muddy paws, and armfuls of blooms.

A well-designed mudroom makes space for all of it, creating a gentle transition between the landscape and the life unfolding inside.
