Today I was invited to display my photographs of horseshoe crabs and speak about my advocacy for them and the amazing work of Return the Favor NJ in the SVA Student Center. My photos display a beach with trash and debris causing fatal impingements for our beloved sea creatures vs. a beach free of impingements and trash where horseshoe crabs can spawn and do their happy dances in the sand. I am so sad about the passing of Dr. Jane Goodall today. She was an amazing force and so important to the environment, animals, and all of us. I was fortunate to be invited to her 89th birthday party/lecture at the Brooklyn Museum and to have been a recipient of several grants from her organization for youth, Roots & Shoots, for my film festivals over the years. Dr. Jane Goodall, you were the ultimate changemaker for good!
