💕 Valentine Update 💕

Today, our sweet Valentine had her third and hopefully final surgery, this time with our friend Dr. Jennings, one of the best oral surgeons around. We are so grateful she is in such incredibly skilled and compassionate care BluePearl Levittown

Valentine first came to Fishtails after undergoing a cleft palate repair at the shelter, but heartbreakingly, the defect never fully closed. Our team Fishtown Animal Hospital poured everything they had into trying to fix, it opened again. Our only remaining option was to send her to a specialist.

Her surgery went so well - see Dr Jennings’ beautiful work last slide- cost was just over $4,000, and the truth is, we simply don’t have those funds right now.

What makes this even harder is knowing how much Valentine has continued to shine despite everything she’s been through. In foster care, she has shown us her joyful, loving spirit, she plays, she cuddles, she wins the hearts of everyone who meets her. We are so hopeful that her foster home will become her forever home once she’s finally healed.
