Presidential Leadership Scholars (PLS) volunteer at the Overbrook Environmental Education Center
The Presidential Leadership Scholars (PLS) Class of 2026 visited West Philadelphia’s Overbrook Environmental Education Center (OEEC) in June to support their NatureWorks and Farmacy projects on Lancaster Avenue. This year’s PLS class will assist the OEEC with two art installations at the center’s “Resilience Hub” - a community park and climate response site at 6150 Lancaster Avenue. PLS is a non-partisan leadership program founded by the four presidential foundations of George H. W. Bush, William J. Clinton, George W. Bush, and Lyndon B. Johnson. Each year, PLS convenes a cohort of leaders from medicine, law, business, education, government, the military, and the social sector.
