PYO Music Institute

After 11 years of dedicated service to the PYO Music Institute, Maestro Kenneth Bean will be departing PYOMI to pursue the next chapter of his professional conducting career.

As the founding Director of Young Musicians Debut Orchestra, Kenny's students have experienced firsthand his passion for and commitment to music education. Through his leadership, he has inspired countless students, and his impact on our community will be felt for years to come.

Help us congratulate Kenny on his incredible service to the Institute. We wish him well. Bravo!

The article captures something we see every week in rehearsal: when young people come together with a shared goal, commit themselves to excellence, and support one another, extraordinary things can happen.

Our students spent months preparing for this performance, joining the Mendelssohn Chorus and historian Dr. Alan C. Guelzo for an unforgettable musical journey through the American story. Seeing them perform with such artistry, maturity, and passion on the Kimmel Center stage was a fitting conclusion to another incredible season.
