It really is true: a little child will lead them. This is the younger of our two grandsons: Jesse. And he is a Jesse!

Dr. Dan Allander wrote a wonderful book called “How Children Raise Parents.” I read it when my two boys were young. I loved it.

Now here are these two little grandsons, simply by being who they are, leading Cam and me, and their mom and dad through the desert. By God’s infinite wisdom and loving kindness, leading us through and raising us up.

Peace to you this Mother’s Day.

One of my favorite phrases to my sons, David and Aaron as they grew from infancy to boyhood to adolescence to adulthood was this:
“I can’t believe I get to be your mom.”

What an honor. What a pure gift from on high that anyone, anywhere should get to be a mother.

No matter what you have suffered, dear woman, no matter what you have faced being a mom, I am praying at this very moment that peace would be yours. 💔❤️‍🩹❤️💔❤️‍🩹❤️

Celebrating life! This is how we do it in our home.

I could barely contain myself today at a baby shower for our one dear friends’ daughter- Mckenzie (about to have baby number three), and attended by our other dear friends’ daughter, Cara (18 weeks pregnant with baby number one). I just looked at them both and felt so moved. Weren’t these beautiful women little girls a minute ago?

And aren’t they gorgeous?!

We love to celebrate with our friends! we love to celebrate life.

I’m often told I remind people of Edna from The Incredibles.
