Shamrocks Go to 12-2-0 with 8-3 Besting of the Nanaimo Timbermen (6-8-0) in Western Lacrosse Association Action at the Frank Crane Arena.

The Marshal King-Zach Manns Combo accounted for six points and 29 shots from the Victoria Shamrocks with the reliable Chris Origlieri playing a big role with 45 saves

FIRST STANZA:

King (3g,1a) kicked off the scoring by rifling a Patrick Dodds (2a) feed past Nanaimo net minder, Colby Bowman after 3:22.

Just under six minutes later, Chris Wardle doubled the lead with his 6th set up by Kyle Pepper.

It took all of thirty one seconds for Noah Manning (2g) to have an answer. With that, Zach Manns (2g,1a..18 shots) checked in. First off a fellow Drexel University alum, Marshal King feed followed by Manns adding his 36th helped by Koen Block (1a) and the secondary from Brodie Wade.
The 'Rocks were not quite finished and the Dodds to King thing struck again to end the stanza with a 5-1 Shamrocks lead and a slight shot advantage at 14-13.

SECOND:

King not only collected his hat trick and his 36th but also his 71st point for a five goal upperhand.

Andrew Bowman stopped the rally with his 21st with Manning finding twine for his 12th to take it to the final twenty with Victoria holding a 6-3 lead.

FINAL SECTION:

Victoria controlled the period with Kyle Pepper notching his first followed by the 7th for Jacob Hickey converting an Origlieri lead pass to the 8-3 final.

SCHTUFF:

° Shots were 49-48 the way of the Shamrocks

° In a goaltender showcase, Colby Bowman stopped 41 (.839) for the Timbermen with Chris Origlieri stopping 45 for the Shamrocks (.859).

° Nate Wade went 8 of 13 from the dot for Victoria.
