Francesco Maria Messina’s San Pietrini Console transforms one of Rome’s most familiar urban elements into a monumental work of collectible design. Inspired by the city’s historic basalt cobblestone streets, the console’s sculptural façade is composed of a dense modular grid that evokes the irregular rhythm of traditional San Pietrini paving. At once architectural and functional, its monolithic exterior gives way to a series of varied openings that reveal a warmly illuminated interior, creating a striking dialogue between solidity and light, concealment and discovery. Crafted in Messina’s Tuscan studio, San Pietrini exemplifies his unique ability to merge architectural precision, exceptional craftsmanship, and poetic materiality, reimagining the language of the city as an intimate and timeless object.

Thank you to Galerie Magazine and for including our current exhibition, Interstice, in “8 Collectible Design Shows to See in July.” We’re honored to be featured alongside so many outstanding exhibitions.

Interstice: Thresholds Carved with Light and Time is a solo exhibition of sculptural works by Brazilian-American artist Marcus Vinícius De Paula. In his first major solo exhibition with the gallery, De Paula presents a new body of work created specifically for the exhibition, alongside the first indoor presentation of Titan, a 10-foot-tall, 3,000-pound stone structure. Shaped in part by stories from his father, who directed NASA missions to Mars, De Paula’s sculptures place the fragility of human civilization against the immense scale of geological and cosmic time. Through the fusion of ancient materials and luminous technologies, these monumental works appear as relics suspended between the primordial past and an imagined future.

Interstice is on view at Wexler Gallery in Philadelphia through August 14.

New works by Trish DeMasi have arrived at Wexler Gallery. Known for her hand-built ceramic vessels, DeMasi transforms clay through an intuitive process of carving, layering, and refinement. Her sculptural forms balance strength with subtlety, revealing a deep sensitivity to texture, surface, and proportion. Each piece carries the quiet evidence of the artist’s hand, celebrating the expressive possibilities of clay through restrained forms and a richly tactile finish.
Visit us in Philadelphia or New York to experience these latest works in person.

We are pleased to share that Jomo Tariku’s work is featured in “Reset: Abstraction Embodied in Design” at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.

Presented in The Rhimes Family Foundation Visual Arts Gallery, “Reset” brings together abstract design objects—including furniture, lighting, and textiles—that transform everyday spaces into sites of reflection, renewal, and connection. The exhibition explores African diasporic influences on modern design, the emotional resonance of materials, and the ways functional objects can offer grounding, respite, and transformation.

Through his work, Tariku continues to expand the conversation around contemporary design, drawing inspiration from African history, architecture, and cultural memory while envisioning new possibilities for the future.

On view now. Visit the museum’s website to learn more about “Reset” and its companion exhibition, “Revelation”.
