On March 15th, Metropolitan Bakery will be closing our retail location on Rittenhouse Square after an amazing 32 year run.

It has been an honor to serve you and to be part of your holidays, celebrations and daily life.

Our breads, rolls, and granola will remain available online and throughout the region at speciality shops and markets via .Bakery, an artisan bakery that shares our passion for naturally leavened, old-world style breadmaking and quality customer service.

After 32 wonderful years, we will be closing our Rittenhouse Square retail location on March 15th.

Our breads, rolls, and granola — baked by Merzbacher’s of Germantown using our recipes and time honored techniques — will continue to be available online and at the same specialty shops and markets throughout the region.
