Some of the best roads aren’t paved… but that doesn’t mean they’re difficult to enjoy.
Cottonwood Canyon Road is one of those drives that reminds me why I love taking the slower route. Between the colorful cliffs, wide-open desert, and Grosvenor Arch, it feels like you’re discovering a part of the Southwest that many travelers never see.
Just be sure to check road conditions before you go. After rain, this road can become impassable, and a high-clearance vehicle is the safest choice.
