This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness gave us the freedoms and opportunities we have today.

At Laborers Training School, we carry that same spirit of hard work, unity, and service into everything we do. Every apprentice, instructor, and laborer represents the strength that helps build our communities and shape a better future.

Today, we remember the fallen, support their families, and give thanks to all who have served. 🇺🇸

From our LTS family to yours, we wish you a safe Memorial Day.

During Construction Safety Week 2026, we are reminded that safety is more than a priority; it is a responsibility we all share every day.

This year’s theme challenged us to:
✔️ Recognize hazards before incidents happen
✔️ Respond by building safety into every plan and adapting as conditions change
✔️ Respect every voice on the jobsite and empower one
another to speak up

This week also highlighted the importance of the National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction. This voluntary initiative, led by OSHA, NIOSH, and safety partners, encourages employers to pause work, discuss fall hazards, provide training, and strengthen jobsite safety culture to help prevent injuries and fatalities.

From stand-downs to daily safety conversations, this week underscored the importance of staying alert, watching out for one another, and ensuring everyone goes home safely.

Thank you to all the workers, instructors, contractors, and safety professionals who continue to make safety a daily commitment, not just during Construction Safety Week, but every day on every jobsite.
