This is one of the most powerful moments in Televerde Foundation history — and we don't want you to miss it.

A generous donor has issued a challenge: raise $100,000 by June 30th, and they will match up to $400,000.

That means your gift today could be worth four times as much. A $25 donation becomes $100. A $100 donation becomes $400. Every dollar working harder for the women who need it most.

These are women rebuilding their lives, reconnecting with their families, and stepping into careers they once believed were out of reach. Your support — amplified by this match — helps make that possible.

But this opportunity disappears at the end of June.

Even after rebuilding a successful career, many formerly incarcerated individuals continue facing barriers long after release.

Alicia Rasta shares her story which highlights the lasting impact of collateral consequences and the ways stigma can continue to limit opportunity, mobility, and belonging years after incarceration.

At Televerde Foundation, we believe rehabilitation should mean more than surviving a sentence. It should include the opportunity to fully participate in society and move forward without permanent barriers tied to the past.

In a feature originally published by The Observer, we reflect on Alicia’s story and the broader conversation around second chances, rehabilitation, and what true reintegration should look like.
