In collaboration with Big Picture Learning, we are pleased to offer Learner-Centered by Design and Purpose: A Big Picture Approach to educators of all types. Cohorts are being offered in July and September.

The offering will be facilitated by Sonn Sam, National Director of Partnerships with Big Picture Learning. For over 23 years, Sam has dedicated his life to transforming education through the Big Picture Learning design. As a teacher, principal, district leader and national coach, he has helped schools and educators reimagine what learning can look like when it is personalized, relationship-driven and connected to the real world.

This professional learning experience was intentionally designed by Sam to immerse learners in the principles and practices of learner-centered education, empowering them to experience the transformational impact of education built around student interests, purpose and authentic learning.

Readiness has long been treated as a threshold: you cross it, and you are a teacher. Before that moment, you are not. Readiness becomes measured by test scores, transcripts or time served, but what if readiness was instead defined as:

• A developmental arc
• Progress measured through feedback and evidence
• A fuller accounting of educator capabilities
