Residential Behavioral Health Facility
đź’”We Were Forced to Close our Doors... *(if this disturbs you, please tag and repost)*
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our facility—one of the last private behavioral health centers in Phoenix designed to serve the Native population. Like so many others across Arizona, we were ultimately devastated by the actions of the AHCCCS administration.
Since May 2023, the administration has waged what felt like a silent war against providers, hiding behind bureaucracy and denial tactics. Prior authorizations and claim denials weren’t just paperwork—they were barriers to life-saving care. For the Native community, that meant fewer paths to healing and fewer allies left standing.
We did everything we could. We fought hard. But we were treated like collateral damage in a war we never declared. And while the system may have shut our doors, it did not silence our truth.
This injustice will come to light. Lawsuits and investigations will reveal what many already know: the failure of this system is not just administrative—it’s human. It hurt people who were already hurting.
To our Native brothers and sisters: hold your heads high. Stay united. The cruelty of government cannot outlast the courage of community. In the face of injustice, resilience is resistance. And justice will prevail.
Sincerely,
Brent
