Things are looking encouraging for our market, in the last two weeks we have more listings under contract than at the same time in any of the last 3 years. We are still far below the activity we had in 2022, which was fueled by very low mortgage interest rates, but at least we are improving! It is time for a mortgage interest rate update! Just like last year, mid-September brought a yearly low in the mortgage interest rates. Last year the average hit 6.11% and this year on September 16th it hit 6.13%, but has since gone back up to 6.38% this past Friday. I know we are all hoping for it to go back down, preferably well under 6%! Don’t hesitate to reach out to see if now is the time to make a move for your next home purchase! 🔑👍🏠
