Companies that produce software as a consumer product that have a "Free Version" (Antivirus, Office suite replacements, Media "Editors" et al.) should all embrace the idea of offering a "Lite" version which costs only ~$1-5 and is literally just the "Free" version but includes none of the nuisance bu****it that constantly tries to upsell you to the Professional Edition.
