Death of the bee. 🐝

We are on week 7 of “sheltering in place”. I haven’t been able to take out my camera. In fact, I’ve been busier then ever these last 7 weeks. If I allow myself to slow down I break down. So “projects” around the house have kept my sanity mostly intact. The other day a bee landed on Kolton’s jeans and tried to sting him. Kolton freaked out and ran inside the house. He is deathly afraid of bees. In fact, we call him the Bee Slayer to tease him about it. Karson picked the dying bee up on a leaf and proceeded to watch it breathe it’s last breathe. Having just watched our beloved lab of 15 years pass a week before, he was lost in the death of this bee. He was silent. Very rare for this kid. All you could hear were the birds and his breathing. Peaceful silence.
