The pushback against data centers and AI honestly surprises me.

AI is not the enemy. It’s one of the most powerful tools we have to fight real problems. Systems like Flock cameras are helping law enforcement track down s*x traffickers and dismantle organized crime networks every day. That’s not theory, that’s happening right now.

AI is not replacing people in this case, it is protecting them. It gives law enforcement better visibility, faster response, and real data to act on.

Beyond crime prevention, AI can improve quality of life by making jobs easier and taking some of the daily struggle out of life. It can help people communicate better, stay organized, write more clearly, learn faster, and become more productive.

I once heard someone say AI is making the dyslexic rule the world. As someone who struggles with dyslexia, I can honestly say the benefits are amazing. AI helps remove barriers that used to slow people down. It gives people tools to compete, create, and communicate at a higher level.

We do not install Flock systems or build large scale data centers, so there is no bias here. That is exactly why the resistance is hard to understand. When used the right way, AI is a tool that saves lives, improves lives, and helps people be better at what they do.

Well, we had to reset the clock last week. The wins and takeaways are:

1) It was only a hairline fracture on the big toe.

2) We came just shy of 1,400 days.

Issues happen, that’s part of business. The key is managing the risk, learning from it, and moving forward stronger. Safety theres no finish line it’s an evolving practice we commit to every day.

Now we have a new goal and a clear direction to excel in, raising the bar even higher as we continue to build a safer, smarter, and stronger team.

There are plenty of ways to learn and grow in business, but nothing beats real experience. A lot of business leaders rave about the book Who Not How, but I call bu****it, for small and medium-sized companies, it sends the wrong message. Throwing money at problems instead of facing them head-on teaches nothing.

Learning how to do something builds true leadership. It comes with fear, struggle, and ultimately, reward.

Too many business owners lose their passion because they forget what drove them in the first place, the thrill of building, solving problems, and winning. They get lazy, hit the easy button, and skip the lessons that come from doing the hard stuff.
