This week, we’re shining a light on two things that are vital to our work—and to each other: clear communication and electrical safety.
Electrical hazards are silent but serious. That’s why we don’t cut corners. We take the time to test, verify, and speak up. It’s not just about compliance—it’s about protecting lives.
Here’s how we stay safe and look out for each other:

Test Before You Touch – Never assume equipment is de-energized. Use a properly rated voltage tester to verify zero energy—even after Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

Follow LOTO Procedures with Intention:
Plan and Communicate
Barricade and Protect
Notify affected employees
Shut down equipment
Isolate energy sources
Apply locks and tags
Test for absence of voltage
Perform the work
Remove devices in reverse order, only when safe

Speak up immediately if:
Missing Lockout/Tagout
Bypassed Procedure s
No boundary protection in place
Unsure of work processes
