Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, grandmothers and motherly role models in our lives. To celebrate, we’re sharing a special sentiment from the son of a Beatitudes Campus resident mom.

Todd’s parents moved to the community in 2020. After his father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and passed away in early 2024, Todd saw firsthand the power of a community like Beatitudes Campus. His mother Judy was surrounded by a supportive circle of friends, and had space to mourn, heal and return to the activities she loves, all at her own pace.

Todd says his parents made the right decision moving to Beatitudes Campus. His mom enjoys taking classes and has found a community that shares her same values of humanity, equity, social justice and being a good neighbor, giving Todd ultimate peace of mind.

While Todd doesn’t point to a specific Mother’s Day memory, he fondly remembers a Valentine’s Day tradition: a “heart hunt” where Cupid would leave clues around the house. He says his mom has always had a special gift for making children feel heard and special.
