“We begin our story in New York…”⁣

When the 1989 album came out in 2014, it was the soundtrack to my life when I was going through some big life transitions. ⁣

You might say it was my 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 era: My first serious longterm relationship had recently ended, I’d just adopted my first pet (the cutest puppy who constantly terrified me that I’d accidentally ruin him), I’d finally finished grad school, I was looking for a “real job” and wondering if I would ever feel 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘴.⁣

It’s funny how life is because now 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦, 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 in grad school, have a “real job” (aka no longer self-employed), the puppy is nearly 10 years old with no 𝘣𝘢𝘥 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥, and most days feel like I’m living out my 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴.⁣

So much has changed yet I’m still the same girl shrieking along to 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘎𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘪𝘳𝘭, dancing on my own to 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘏𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘋𝘰 𝘞𝘢𝘴 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘺, listening with a lump in my throat to 𝘊𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯.⁣

I’m so happy that is here to get me through all of the magic, madness, heaven, sin of human existence.⁣

Thank you for creating a 𝘸𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 of art with such 𝘴𝘵𝘺𝘭𝘦. ⁣

Oh and in case you were wondering, YES I hope there’s a 𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦 in your schedule because 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴 we can 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘧𝘧 together and 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 join me to celebrate 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 of music + movement!⁣

Stretch along to 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘠𝘰𝘳𝘬 (𝘛𝘢𝘺𝘭𝘰𝘳’𝘴 𝘝𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯) with me this weekend!⁣

What’s your favorite song from 1989 + on a scale of 1-13 which vault track are you most excited to hear for the very first time?⁣

🎶 “I wanna be defined by the things I love… not the things I hate or the things I’m afraid of… I just think that 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲.”⁣

— ⁣

The last five years since the car accident have brought so many changes. I’ve struggled to find myself in the “after” when so many things that once defined me were gone. Becoming physically disabled has been a ⁣journey I’m not fully ready to talk about publicly, but I hope to some day.⁣

Last fall, I remember waiting over 8 hours in the Ticketmaster queue to get tickets. At that time, the bots, the technical issues, and the millions of fans trying to get tickets seemed like a small hurdle in comparison to the unknown of whether my physical abilities would allow me to attend a concert with so much visual + aural stimulation.⁣

I was scared that even if a miracle happened and I got tickets, ⁣I wouldn’t make it through the show.⁣

For me, being able to do something I love in a crowd of people sharing that experience is so incredibly special.⁣

Taylor’s music has been such a big part of my life + I can’t believe I got to experience the first + final shows of the first US leg of an iconic show 🫶🏼⁣

It’s been so fun to create stretches + mindful movements to complement Taylor’s songs + to share that with you. Thank you to everyone who has joined me on my “stretch tour.”⁣

May we all be defined by what we love.⁣

Hi 👋🏼 I’ve been quiet lately but I decided it’s time to

SPEAK NOW

because I wanted to show you something I’m absolutely enchanted with 🥹

By now you’ve probably figured out I’m a big fan of + have been for about 17 years.

1️⃣3️⃣ years ago, Taylor released an album called “Speak Now” that had a profound impact on 24-year-old me. I identified so much with the emotions + lyrics of this album, as I attempted to balance grad school with adulting, navigate relationships, figure out what my life “should” look like, and learn to speak up for myself. Music has always been a big part of my life, and this album got me through a lot.

I’m wonderstruck to see Taylor reclaim her old albums + reimagine them for a new audience + phase of life.

I’m chock full of nostalgia for this special album + these songs, so I’m excited to share I’ll be bringing back “stretch to your favorite song” featuring the Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) tracks. The first chapter hits Instagram tomorrow 💜💜💜

By the way, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) comes out at midnight 🕛 I couldn’t resist recreating the front + back covers of this iconic album. Swipe through for the original!

A HUGE thanks to my glam + creative teams:

I love you + am so thankful for you!

What’s your favorite song? Or what part of your body would you like a stretch for? Share here + I might be able to help 💜💜💜
