To any chicken keepers or egg consumers: Purina has partnered with Cal-Maine (the largest commercial egg producers) and Land-O-Lakes, and they’re manipulating protein content in chicken feed. The big stores are in on it too, with Tractor Supply holding one of the biggest contracts. Thousands of backyard chicken keepers are seeing low-to-no egg yield, and right as the mom and pop production slowed down, they opened up some gigantic new “free range” facilities whilst jacking the price into oblivion.
