The center of Indianapolis’ downtown has become densely populated with new developments engulfing the context of the existing historic buildings. This along with a lack of public transportation will allow for new opportunities to redevelop existing buildings into new typologies that create new forms of energy, transportation, or hospitality. How can adaptive reuse incorporate innovative design to protect historically significant buildings in high density areas throughout Indianapolis?
