Today, the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust hosted a Piper Academy session on Sustained Collaboration in partnership with Arizona Together for Impact.

Christine Thompson shared insights on the Success Factors, Roadblocks, Barriers, and Timing (“When?”) for sustained collaboration, and I had the pleasure of capturing these notes live during the session. Following Christine’s presentation, a panel of experts—Becky Bell Ballard, Tiffanie Dillard, PhD, SHRM-SCP, ACC, CLCC, Karen Jayne MBA, and Laura Bode, CFRE—offered their perspectives and experiences with collaborative engagements.

Afterward, attendees engaged in table discussions to share their own experiences and explore needs around capacity and collaboration.

It was such a joy to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new ones. I’m feeling so grateful for Arizona’s incredible nonprofit community and the work we do together.

This was one of my favorite parts of graphic recording for a leadership team’s offsite yesterday. When you walked into the room, you were greeted by maracas on the table - encouraging everyone to constantly remind themselves to “shake it up” as they developed their next 5 year strategy. Naturally, I had to include these 🪇 maracas 🪇 in their visual summary of the meeting!
