what we do
Alchemy Studio, founded in 1998, by Carol Panaro-Smith, was formed as a way to share with others the love of the creative process through visual art-making.
Alchemy workshops have been held all over the greater Phoenix metropolitan area and now have a home at 4022 East Cambridge Ave. in Phoenix, AZ which is the working studio of Carol and her partner, James Hajicek.
In 2013, Alchemy Studio expanded their vision and now include a workshop program in Italy. Both summer and fall workshops are designed as creative retreats to learn new techniques, immerse oneself in their own creative practice, and to take a step away from daily routine.
