Some sentences do more than say something.

Walter Isaacson calls one sentence from the Declaration of Independence “the greatest sentence ever written”:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal…”

It is easy to rush past words like that because we have heard them so many times. But they still carry weight.

They remind us that language can become a promise.
A promise can become a shared belief.
And a shared belief can shape a nation.
That is why story matters.
