7 years ago I got the keys to 10637 N Cave Creek Road. As we wind down The Vintage Arizona to make room for a new era, I can't help but reflect on all the ups and downs (mostly ups) during that time.

6 celebrities, almost 2 years sober, 50 chickens, 1 car crash into the building, a handful of crazy folks (the bad kind), countless crazy folks (the good kind), 23 scorpion paperweights, 7 moves, 1 New Times Best Of, 1 engagement, 1 marriage, a puppy and endless memories I'll take with me everywhere I go.

It's wild to think we created this while I was a functioning alcoholic. It is my deepest regret, but also the biggest source of pride. When I would get asked if this was my dream, I never knew how to answer that. In some ways, yes, but in even more ways, no. I've loved so many parts of running a vintage shop don't get me wrong. The real dream was finding myself. I've now spent nearly 2 years with the real Shan. Healing all the past versions and truly loving myself. Owning who I am and now so excited to learn, grow, heal and lean into womanhood.

I admit, I love a secret. I'm so excited to finally let the cat out of the bag. But I'm going to make you wait just a little longer. Some of you know, some of you don't, but all of you can help and get involved in what's next for 10637 N Cave Creek Road.
