At public service events, groups like Arizona Mesh have been building off grid Meshtastic networks so volunteers can coordinate without depending on cell coverage. That is the real world sweet spot. Lots of people, spotty networks, and you still need quick boring messages like where to meet or who needs help. Meshtastic works here because it is low bandwidth by design, and a text can hop through other nodes to reach farther than you could alone. It also plays nice with phones, so you are not learning a new gadget under stress. Shoutout to folks like Rokland for making it easy to grab compatible devices. Official info is at meshtastic.org. It's never been about the issue of safety for these kids out protesting. It's the look at me generation jumping on to the next big Facebook challenge. Virtue signaling is all this generation can muster. Their virtue is tied directly to the number of likes and shares their actions might generate. It's not about doing something because it's the right thing to do. rather, it's about doing something that gains them attention, accolades, or fame. F**k them. Not an ounce of empathy for a single one of them. Bullying, spitefulness, hatred, deceitfulness, breaking the law, is their usual and normal daily actions. On social media they say all the things that make them seem virtuous but it's merely just for the attention.
