Carlie + Gabe — best friends first, forever always. And honestly… is there any greater love story than that?

But the speeches? Carlies Dads speech absolutely wrecked most of us - in the best way.

Carlie’s dad shared how when he first imagined his future, he thought he wanted a son — not for any real reason, just because that’s what he thought you were supposed to want. And then Carlie came along. From the moment he held her, that dream shifted. Instead, he began praying for something different — that he and her mom would raise a kind, smart, hardworking, loving girl who would grow into exactly who God created her to be.

And that’s exactly who Carlie became. 🤍

He joked that their “storybook” for her started the day she was born — filled with beautiful chapters, a few ups and downs (because every good story has them), and more love than he could’ve imagined. But there was one prayer he didn’t even know to pray back then… that one day she would marry her very best friend.

And 24 years later, he realized he didn’t miss out on having a son at all — he just had to wait a little longer to gain one in Gabe. (Excuse me what!? 😭😭)

Cue the collective onion-cutting moment. 🥹
