On May 27, ElevateEdAZ interns Hunter Billie, Adolfo Sifuentes Nunez, and Natalie Reyes presented their final capstone projects, sharing the work they developed throughout the program.

Their projects showed creativity, hard work, and real growth. One capstone focused on Skill Point and included the creation of a user interface mockup, giving the interns a practical look at how ideas move from concept to usable tools.

We are grateful for their effort and excited to see where they take these skills next.

Training and support tools are often built for connected environments, but field use does not always come with reliable access.

In expeditionary or degraded conditions, personnel may still need procedures, reference material, training content, and task support without dependable network connectivity.

S2RC’s MATRIX work addresses that gap through fieldable training and support capabilities built around offline access, rugged hardware, and usable interfaces.

S2RC focuses on systems that keep critical information accessible, usable, and close to the point of need so people can continue performing when connectivity, time, and environment create friction.

That is the design standard for support in real operating conditions.

Solutions + Research Collective (S2RC) has won the Greater Phoenix Chamber’s 2026 Excellence in Business Award in the Small Business category.

Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) drift happens over time as machines are modified, guards change, valves are replaced, or crews adapt their process to keep work moving.

Fixing this takes field verification, current procedures, and training that reflects real conditions. Military Appreciation Month gives us a moment to recognize the people behind the mission: the service members who operate in demanding environments, the families who carry the weight with them, the veterans who continue to serve in new ways, and the teams who support readiness every day.

We build around the reality that performance in high-stakes environments depends on clear information, usable systems, disciplined training, and tools that support the people doing the work. Military service represents commitment, precision, adaptability, and responsibility under pressure.

This month, we recognize the military community and the standard they set.

Some of the biggest safety problems do not start as big problems.

They start as small issues teams see so often that they stop reacting to them. That is what makes routine risk so important. When shortcuts become normal, when small hazards stop getting corrected, or when people assume someone else already noticed the issue, preventable risk starts building. Good safety habits start with paying attention to the things people are tempted to ignore.

Readiness is built before it is needed. Armed Forces Day recognizes the service members who train, prepare, adapt, and carry the standard every day.
