When the old and new meet. The story is missing some links but this old artwork, brought from over-seas years ago, needed to be put back on the wall. The design work that was on the mat became part of the art which needed to be preserved. Lay a new mat on top, add conservation glass and a frame that fits the era and it's ready to cause some conversation. Maybe the rest of the story will be uncovered.

A new client who found my contact info on FB was a reminder that I haven't posted an update for quite some time. So, here's an example of putting some special artifacts from the past into a frame for enjoyment today -- and tomorrow. A grandfather's repair shop from long ago in the SD Badlands yields a wrench with his engraved initials along with a post card advertising his services. Imagine the stories...

She wasn't much on wearing jewelry but what she had was special to her. Each ring had its story -- high school graduation, marriage, and birthstones, limited by her small ring size, that numbered most of her children. Preserving memories and connections from the past.
