Good morning Pinckney! So you may ask what is coming up for the Ville. Go ahead.... ask.
Well, the Pinckney Memorial Day Parade is geared up and ready to go on Monday the 25th. The parade starts at 1:00 sharp. The change is that instead of starting at the Depot, we will kick it off from People's Church. Main Street will be closed during the parade but there will be the Unadilla detour available.
Come pay your respects to the brave soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
I also am admittedly stealing a picture from one of our residents who posted this the other day. This is how long the parade has been active in town. 1914 folks. That's 112 years of paying respects. As always, this is a "silent" parade with no sirens or horns. Let's make this one the biggest as it is the country's 250th birthday!
The following weekend is Art In The Park. Come and hang out with the artists and see what amazing creations they have. Main St will be closed from Howell St to Mill St but you can detour around the back of the buildings. Trucks can use Unadilla. Bring the kiddos and have fun. It's always an awesome event.
