Mr. Major Alexander
On Sunday, June 27, 2026, God gently called His beloved servant, Major Alexander from labor to eternal rest. Though his earthly journey presented many physical challenges, his life was a beautiful testimony of God's sustaining grace, unconditional love, and faithful provision.
Born at St. Mary's Hospital in Dermott, AR, on October 16, 1963, to the union of Mr. Louis Earl and Mrs. Harriett Alexander of McGehee, AR, who preceded him in death. Major was the eighth child in a family that cherished him deeply and knew from the very beginning his life was a precious gift from God.
Because of disabilities that required constant care, he spent most of his life as a resident of the Conway Human Development Center in Conway, AR, where he received compassionate support from devoted caregivers who became an extension of his family. Through their kindness, patience, and dedication, God faithfully provided for his every need. His life reminded everyone who knew him that every person has immeasurable worth and that love is often expressed through acts of service.
Although he was unable to care for himself independently, he possessed a spirit that touched countless lives. His presence inspired compassion, patience, and selfless love in those who cared for him. He became a living example that every life has purpose and that God's strength is often revealed through human weakness.
He was preceded in death by his parents - Mr. Louis Earl Alexander and Mrs. Harriett Alexander; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Beverely Graham and Mrs. Ernestine Alexander.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory six brothers, Mr. Otis Graham, Reverend Louis Alexander, II of Atlanta, GA, Reverend Larry Alexander ( Carrie), of Dumas, AR, Dr. Lester Alexander (Carla) of Pine Bluff, AR, Reverend Alphonso Alexander (Linda) of Little Rock, AR, and Reverend Carlos Alexander (Katie) of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Ms. Lorretta Alexander of Little Rock, AR, Ms. Margaret Solomon of McGehee, AR, Mrs. Monica Terrones of Oxford, CA; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members, devoted caregivers, treasured friends, and all whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
Today, we celebrate not the limitations he faced but the life God entrusted to him. His journey reminds us that greatness is not measured by what one can accomplished alone, but by the love that surrounds a life. Through him, countless people learned the meaning of compassion, sacrifice, and unconditional love.
Though his earthly body has found rest, his soul now rejoices in the presence of the Lord, where there is no pain, no disability, no suffering, and no limitations-only perfect peace and everlasting joy.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2026 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas Rev. Larry Alexander officiating.
