Kicking off an exciting week at the 2026 IEEE Power & Energy Society Transmission & Distribution Conference & Expo in Chicago!

The day began with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the exhibit floor alongside IEEE leadership—offering an early look at the scale and energy of this year’s event, featuring 933 exhibitors across 315,000 sq. ft.

Opening remarks from Joe Svachula welcomed nearly 18,000 attendees, setting the stage for a dynamic week ahead. The keynote session, “Carbon Goals vs. Grid Reality: Achieving Resource Adequacy & Grid Flexibility,” brought together leaders from ComEd, Argonne National Laboratory, Ameren, and others to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping today’s evolving energy landscape.

This year’s program highlights the powerful intersection of industry and innovation, with participation from organizations such as Hitachi Energy, G&W Electric, Hubbell, GE Vernova, and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories.
Attendees can engage with a robust lineup of content throughout the week, including:
