“Studying abroad is officially one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Immersing myself in a new culture and studying educational approaches was incredible, but the people truly made the experience. I was lucky enough to connect with amazing locals and a wonderful group of American students—including a fellow GAM named Bethanie! Moments like that remind me how special it is to be a part of a Greek organization that connects us no matter where we go. I’m returning home with a massive boost in confidence, a deeper sense of independence, and a heart full of gratitude. If you’re on the fence about going abroad, this is your sign to take the leap!”

“Going through formal recruitment as a Sophomore was definitely a scary experience. I went into rush thinking I would be the only sophomore but slowly realized I wasn’t! Multiple girls from not only my Rho Gam group, but from others also were. I knew running home to ΑΣΑ on bid day was the best decision I’d ever made. I became friends with women I never expected to get close to, and closer with the girls I had known previously. To me, being in a sorority means always having someone to talk to, and always having something to do. Whether it’s hanging out with my sisters at the house or going on late night drives, I always have someone that listens and loves me!”

Hello! My name is Claire Green and I am a member of Alpha Gamma Delta at PSU. This summer I was offered a nursing externship at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City. My position is on 5 Henson Hall, an orthopedics and general pediatrics unit. This nursing externship has offered me hands on pediatric nursing experience that will greatly shape my future career as a pediatric nurse. Lauren Smith, the VP of Recruitment, was given the same position and it has been so fun working alongside her this summer! Working at Children’s Mercy this summer has sparked an excitement for my future career and happiness in the thought of possibly working with my Panhellenic sisters post graduation!
