Our newest cohort of Advanced Standing MSW students begins summer courses today. You've got this, Gorillas!

Madeleine Warren, BSW student, just finished presenting her research project titled “Global Learning: Development of Intercultural Sensitivity and Cultural Intelligence in Study-Abroad Participants“ to an international audience of researchers at the Global Awareness Society International (GASI) conference in Santiago, Chile.
Madeleine is also part of a larger - international research team that presented two separate projects related to student resiliency as well.

A special shout-out to Michael Thompson, who was our Graduate Assistant for the past 1.5 years. He did a fantastic job serving our program and students behind the scenes and in the classroom, where he was the instructor for our Relationship Skills course this semester and a guest instructor in various classes throughout his time as GA. Michael has already passed his LMSW exam and will soon start his new position as a therapist for children and teens at Spring River Mental Health. We're grateful for you, Mike, and so proud of you!

Our seniors and grad students selected classmates to represent them at the Celebration of Graduates on Monday. Elijah Wolfe, BSW, and Michael Thompson, MSW, shared words of gratitude and encouragement to their fellow students, faculty, and family members. Congratulations to Elijah, Michael, and all of our 31 social work graduates!
