I'd like to welcome LRTL's first Featured Rider, Ashley Rose Calhoun

Shes a little less than 4 hours from me, which means that I will hopefully get to ride with her when Stryker is ready in his 3 year old year, 2027. Ashley will be representing us until we can join her.

Hi all! I'm Ashley Rose Calhoun, owner of Queen Quarter Horses and a professional barrel racer and trainer based out of Ripley, WV! I compete coast to coast in WPRA, IPRA, and other carded rodeos, jackpots, super shows, and the Bulls, Bands, & Barrels tour.

Over the years, alongside my main mount, Queen Carlene, I have been blessed with numerous professional rodeo wins, championships, and multiple World and National Finals qualifications and appearances, along with countless memories and achievements beyond the arena.
In addition to Queen, I run my two other mares, Bunny and Josey, and I am excited to start campaigning my futurity mare, Cherry, and start her adventure this November.
When I'm not on the road, I focus on training horses, mentoring the next generation of rodeo youth, and building a facility that will allow me to host clinics, jackpots, and other educational opportunities while continuing to grow my training and lesson programs. No matter where I'm at on my journey, my goal is always the same: to be a positive ambassador for the rodeo and equine industries while representing my sponsors, horses, and program with integrity, hard work, sportsmanship, and a genuine passion for both the horse and the sport.
I'm incredibly excited and thankful to be working with Lonesome Ranch Tack and Leather this season as a featured rider, and I can't wait for the new level of energy and style we're about to bring to the rodeo pen!🙌🏽👑💜
