I came across a video recently where the artist layer’s oils on watercolor. I had to give it a try..

I started with watercolors and since I worked on watercolor paper, I sealed it before moving onto the oil glazes, which I applied to deepen the color in some areas, in some other areas I accentuated highlights and also added some details.

I really like the results! I’ve achieved deep saturation with just watercolors, but adding another media is always interesting

Experimenting with different mediums and combinations is as much fun as creating something!
