Pre-Employment Screening is one of the most prevalent applications of the polygraph instrument. Because, when properly administered, the polygraph does exactly what it was designed to do: To w**d out undesirable employees, potential problem employees, and employees who cannot do the job.

How does the Polygraph work?
All people have an emergency system, or survival system, commonly known as the "fight or flight" system. Anytime your brain thinks you are in danger, this system is automatically turned on, causing sudden changes to take place within you to better prepare you to meet the threat. When asked a question during the testing phase and you decide to lie to the question your brain will perceive this question as a threat and turn on your body's emergency system. You will experience sudden changes taking place in your body that you cannot control and simultaneously the polygraph instrument will permanently record them.

Polygraph can be used as one part of solving the puzzle in an investigation, an interview, or making a determination.
