A small mistake on your credit report can create a much bigger headache later. And sometimes, it's not even your fault!

It could be something as simple as your name being entered one way on one account and slightly different on another. Sean instead of Shawn. An old address that does not match. A middle initial missing. Little things like that can sometimes create confusion, show up as an alias, or make your file look messier than it really is.

When a lender reviews your credit, they are looking at what is on paper. So it's worth knowing what's on there before you are in the middle of buying, refinancing, or trying to make a big financial move.

I always tell my clients: check your credit report before you need it. Not because you should be nervous, but because clarity gives you options.
