I’m thrilled to be a part of this year’s New Member Class and join countless creators and professionals who serve, celebrate, and advocate for music year-round. I’m excited to contribute my unique perspective and genre as we collectively recognize musical excellence and make a lasting impact globally.

🎶😎 Music, man. It’s a helluva drug.

A few things.

1. Count your blessings.

There’s always someone who would kill to be where you are, regardless of how let-down, worthless, and unheard you feel. Everyone doesn’t have the ability to chase their dreams. Everyone doesn’t have the same privileges, starting-points, experiences, circumstances, priorities, obligations…

2. There are rules and there are exceptions.

The majority have to follow the rules, no exceptions - grind, climb, roll back down the damn mountain, and start the trek over, and over, and over, and over in finding success, or finally settling.

3. The truth is, we are never where we started.

We’ve met milestones, made beautiful friends and acquaintances, experienced things and learned in ways that only experience can teach you. The good, the bad, the ugly.

Bonus: Respect your gah-damn elders. They DO know what they’re talking about.

To be apart of a music community with such rich history is something I wanted since I was a little girl, because…

“I wanna be, where the people are…”🧜‍♀️

…and now I feel like I am a small part of it - in whatever way that is.

Thank you endlessly, Ken, Tina, and Rhonda. For everything you did and continue to do for me and my music madness.

Thank you, Recording Academy! I can’t wait for what’s to come. I won’t let ya down!
