JD Costanzo wishes he had played a bigger role in West Virginia baseball’s greatest season, but he wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.

The left-handed pitcher from North Allegheny was part of the Mountaineers’ record-setting season and first-ever trip to the College World Series last month in Omaha, Neb.

“It was pretty surreal being in Omaha,” said Costanzo, a redshirt freshman. “It was unbelievable.”
