Did you know this is how SUBTL Beauty actually came together? 👀

It started with contact cases so Rachel could bring makeup to sleepovers without dragging along an overnight bag. She called it Ho on the Go. It worked... but barely.

Other women were saying the exact same thing. Bulky makeup. Overpacked bags. No straightforward system. So she renamed the brand, spent time interviewing women, and rebuilt everything around real routines.
In 2018, she launched on Kickstarter and shipped the first Staks. Then things slowed down. A lot.

By 2019, Rachel was back home in New Zealand genuinely questioning whether to keep going. Orders were so slow her husband could handle fulfillment on his own. On her flight back to the U.S., she touched down to panicked texts and a wave of incoming orders. A few days later, she found out a Beauty Insider had posted a 20-minute review of the Stak.

Rachel had already quit in her head.

SUBTL exists because she kept listening, kept tweaking, and didn’t stop quite fast enough to miss the moment that changed everything.

Simplified makeup routines arent just about reducing the products used but its also about leverage multi-use, multi-functional formulas in a packaging system that is streamline, portable and convenient.
