Imaginary Friend Press

So I write this with both a great sense of joy and sadness. I am shuttering Imaginary Friend Press. I feel like it was a great project for me to run and I published some amazing books. But over the past few months things changed. Publishing wasn’t a joy anymore. Contending with social media and dealing with writers’ egos became wearisome. I lost my spark. I lost my drive.

So rather than peter out and fade away, I’ll just announce my exit. This has been a great few years. I’ve met a lot of amazing poets. I had a lot of wonderful experiences at book fairs.

So I am riding off into the literary sunset now. I am going to go occupy my time with family and friends, board games and booze, my cats and my cats. It will be a new adventure to think of myself only as a poet and not as an editor.
