There’s something powerful about stepping into rooms where creativity is pushed, refined, and reimagined.

Day one of training at the Intrigue Across America Tour here in Richmond, VA at the stunning .

There’s something powerful about stepping into a room filled with florists who are all chasing the same thing—growth, refinement, and a deeper understanding of our craft.

From architectural spaces to armfuls of premium blooms, every detail this week is intentional. Studying movement, composition, and mechanics at this level is so eye opening.

Grateful to be learning, creating, and being inspired alongside such an incredible group.

A birthday arrangement delivered yesterday for a fan of pink!

Art in Bloom opens today at the 🪻

This year, I had the honor of interpreting “Anchors” (1930) by American modernist Stuart Davis — a work rooted in rhythm, abstraction, and the energy of jazz.

Rather than recreating the harbor scene, I translated the piece through movement, repetition, and call-and-response — much like a jazz composition.

Structured black lines establish tempo, while blocks of saturated blue hydrangea act as sustained chords. Cymbidium orchids create a soft, melodic response, and anthurium punctuate the composition with bold, staccato accents.

Every element was placed intentionally to echo Davis’s belief that color and form can stand independently while still creating harmony.

The result is a three-dimensional composition that invites you to feel the painting — not just see it.
