PA Lawmakers: Don't use our students as bargaining chips in the state budget.

Pennsylvania’s public brick-and-mortar charter schools are pushing for two critical priorities in the 2026-2027 budget:

1️⃣ Reject House Bill 2634: Say no to unsustainable funding cuts that hurt our schools and students.

2️⃣ Pass Senate Bill 1325/House Bill 2491: Ensure every student has safe, equitable transportation to school.

Public school students deserve equitable resources and safe transportation. Contact your state representative and state senator today and urge them to support our schools.

PA public charter schools are at a crossroads. We are calling on our lawmakers to protect the 104,000+ students in our brick-and-mortar charter schools during the 2026-2027 state budget negotiations.

We are urging the General Assembly to:

🚫 Oppose House Bill 2634: These proposed funding cuts would destabilize our schools, threaten teacher jobs, and strip essential resources from some of our Commonwealth’s most vulnerable students.

🚌 Support Safe & Equitable Transportation: It’s time to pass Senate Bill 1325 and House Bill 2491. Every student deserves safe transportation to school. No child should be forced to take public mass transit when their peers have access to yellow bus services.
