Move with Sierra

It's been a hot minute since I've posted on the grid... so here it is!

A lot of you know I've taken a break from teaching Buti and yoga to focus on finishing grad school... well, I did it! In December 2024, I earned my masters' in education and was in a permanent position for the 24-25 school year teaching 6th & 7th grade Communications. I received my teaching certificate in elementary education grades PreK-6 and and set to take the test to add Communications 7-12 to that license. (Stayed tuned for updates!)

After I completed grad school, I decided to take a little bit longer to reconnect to my own yoga practice and found a great space at YogaSix . I was also offered to teach teen lyrical and level 1 ballet/tap/jazz at Dance Conservatory of Pittsburgh on top of my adult hip hop and tap classes. I feel like everything happens for a reason, and my passion for dance and choreography was lit up this year as I was able to connect with kids and adults in their movement journeys. I'm so excited to be adding more classes to my roster this year and am looking forward to teaching Buti and yoga again very very soon 🤞🏼.

This year was transformative in connections- with students, my children, my husband, and most importantly- myself. I'm happy, healthy, strong, and so looking forward to what's to come. If you're a yoga/Buti student, thank you for your patience as I needed this time for myself and my family. If you're a friend/family, thank you for being there and for being supportive. I haven't gone anywhere... I promise!
