Transitional Characters
The transitional character is someone who, in a single generation, changes the entire course of a lineage. This is therapy for the curse breakers.

We're all carrying a lot these days, some more than others. Some people think therapy isn't political... we do it differently. If you need radically different therapy, we're the place to come in Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and California.

Colby is part therapist, part trauma-archeologist. If you're looking to excavate layers of old habits, patterns, and experiences, they're the therapist for you. Colby brings a background in abortion care, q***r and trans healthcare, and union activism. They approach therapy with curiosity and authenticity to help their clients understand and make meaning of their lived experiences. Colby particularly enjoys employing parts work/IFS, somatic practices, and liberation psychology. Outside of therapy they are also a s*x educator for teens! Even Dr. King new that rest was essential to sustainable activism. We chose to focus on a lesser-shown side of MLK for his birthday today. When he visited Jamaica in June of 1965, he stated that he "felt like a human being" in Jamaica due to the racial harmony and cultural values of the island. If you're an activist and the only photos you see of historical visionaries are of their speeches, rallies, and organizing – it's easy to forget their humanity. Today, honor Martin Luther King Jr., the whole person.

When Renee Nicole Good challenged the ICE officers, she lost her proximity to whiteness and the protections and benefits it comes with. That is why they shot her. Standing up for racial justice will involve dismantling white supremacy and with it, the benefits it affords white people. How shocked do you feel when you seen state violence inflicted on black and brown bodies? More or less shocked than on white bodies?
If you have any amount of privilege, it's time to ask where that privileged can be used. There are good people doing good work in our communities. Check about the listed resources to get involved 💜💚
