“Pittsburgh Sky”.. I remember late October last year and being at Jason Isbell’s Ryman residency and he said something in between songs that made me write down “under the Pittsburgh Sky” by the following night I had the song written and later that week we tracked it in the studio. To me the song is very personal, but the emotion is universal. Don’t let someone else pull you down, but also don’t try to fix anyone. Try to always show up the best you can and just be present for others. There’s beauty in the briefest moments..
